LAST JUNE 12, 2005

2005 has been a very good year, so far.

We'd hoped to have this page full of exciting plans for the future - and they may still come off, but we're in the hands of the organisers of a particular event and are sat biting our nails waiting for news.

This year's visit to the USA

What a wonderful time we had. Concerts went well; our thanks to Kathryn South for her piano accompaniment at our concerts and Tony Ellis for his contributions on guitar at the concerts in Virginia. Tony is visiting the UK this month and will be playing at our concert in Searby. Unfortunately a couple of events got in the way of a perfect tour. Firstly we missed an internal flight from Atlanta to Myrtle Beach through no fault of our own. We left later that day flying out on two planes and our baggage on three! We're still waiting for a response from Delta on this one. Secondly, Jeff left his and Shirley's tickets and passports in a cab at Newport News Airport on the day we were due to fly home. Thanks to the awareness of another cabbie they were returned to the airport in plenty of time to make the flight. It was wonderful to meet new friends and introduce Ian and his family to all our old friends. Our thanks to y'all for your hospitality and friendship.

Pics from the 2005 Tour

We've (or more correctly, Carolyn Blewett has) added some pictures from the tour to the web site. If you've not spotted them yet you'll have to go back to the home page to get to them. No 1 is the new logo that Helenne Blewett designed for us and we had put on jackets, shirts and caps. No 2 is at Manchester Airport with Kathryn stood in the front. 3 is the First Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA where we performed our first concert of the tour. 4 is Keith & Shirley at our final night party in Georgia at the home of Fred and Carol. 5 Trinity Church, Myrtle Beach, SC where we sang the morning service. 6 The Tavern on Pawley's Island, SC - a favourite 'watering hole' visited earlier years too. 7 Georgetown County Library, another concert venue. 8 Roger's wife, Anne. What more can we say? 9 A break at the home of Keith's brother, Tony in Richmond, VA. 10 & 11 Concert venue - First Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro, VA. 12 Concert venue - Zion United Church of Christ, Hagerstown, MD. 13 Entertaining at Brooke Grove, Sandy Spring, MD. 14 & 15 Sight Seeing days in Jamestown and Williamsburg, VA. 16 Group picure following lunch at the Gazebo, Williamsburg, VA
